Agyei Thomas is a Ghanaian-born football coach from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, and a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in football coaching, player development, tactical analysis, and scouting. A licensed coach with an unwavering commitment to discipline and player growth, his hallmark lies in nurturing talent and building players with both technical skill and strong character.
Coaching Journey & Experience
Over the past two decades, Coach Thomas has become a well-respected figure in Ghanaian football, known for his deep understanding of game strategy and player psychology. His experience spans across multiple teams and levels — from youth academies to elite clubs.
Before joining Inter Royals Football Academy, he served as the head coach of Tamale Liberty FC, where he played a vital role in developing top talents now playing internationally — including Nuhu Razak (formerly of Manchester City), Nuhu Rashid, Zakaria Mugeese, and Gilberto Ismael (Portugal).
Scouting & Technical Contributions
Coach Thomas has worked with some of Ghana’s most prestigious football institutions, serving as a scout for Right to Dream Academy, WAFA, Dreams FC, Asante Kotoko, Liberty Professionals, and the Ghana U17 & U20 National Teams. His eye for potential and commitment to player development have made him a trusted name among Ghanaian football circles.

Throughout his career, Coach Thomas has worked under and learned from some of Ghana’s most respected coaches, including Maxwell Konadu, Jones Atikofio, D.D. Dramani, Coach Edusei, the late Coach Afrani, Malik Jabir, and Sillas Tetteh. These experiences have shaped his leadership style — combining discipline, technical precision, and mentorship.
